Formerly of Anniston, Alabama, Dr. Weatherford served over nine years on active duty in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. During this time he worked in multiple medical clinics and hospitals providing care to active duty Marines, Sailors and their families. Upon his release from active duty, he was able to pursue his life long dream of attending medical school. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham and after performing a surgical internship at the Baptist Health System in Birmingham, completed his anesthesiology residency at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama.
